This section was originally a Tech Support page but that was a lame/stupid/unrealistic idea so here is a page filled with nothing but technological crap for my own enjoyment.

First up, DELL Inspiron 6000. I have had this labtop for about a year now and I have nothing but good things to say about it. The actual specs. of my rig are as follows:
    1 gb memory
    60gb 5400RPM
    2.0ghz
    ATI Radeon x300 128mb
    Internal wireless, NIC, Bluetooth.
It weighs 6.6 lbs and is great for portability and power. It was definately not a neccessity purchase because I got this handy dandy tax return and this was the quickest way I could spend it. :(

Update: 1.10.08 - I am writing this dg.com update from this labtop three years later, still kickin.

Second on the list, my iRiver H320. Twenty gb of storage, it handles audio/video/still images and has an interface that has real buttons. Not some crappy circular track with crappy interface [ipod]. Along with this I purchased an FM transmitter. It hooks up to the cigarette lighter in my car and transmits any audio device with audio output through the desired FM frequency. Plainly put, it's dominant.

Update: 1.10.08 - I still have this media player. It works great. iRiver is now decomissioned but the thing still works... :)

Last year I bought a Canon PowerShot S400. 4.0 Megapixels that takes 640x480 video. It's no SLR but it takes phenominal pictures for a point-and-shoot camera. The auto focus places rectangular guestimates for the centerpiont of the image, and the functionality of basic and advanced features is more than sufficient. The best part about the camera is by far the physical build. Small enough to fit into my jeans pocket while out for a night on the town yet big enough to hold firmly in your hand.

Update: 1.10.08 - My parents took over this bad boy. They just used it to take pictures of Christmas festivities. Yay Canon.

I recieved a Verizon Treo 650 from work this year and so far the device has been outstanding. The best parts about the device are the ability to mirror your Microsoft Outlook calendar/contacts/mail with the device's contents and visa verse. The bluetooth is also really nice for sending pictures back and forth from my laptop to the handheld device. A good buy none the less however, with the Treo 7 series coming out on a Windows Mobile platform I would definately hold off if you are considering purchasing a Treo.

I had the Treo 700 for quite some time. But since the 700 and the 755p are quite similar, I will discuss the later model. The 755p is probably my favorite phone so far. The exterior texture is that of hardened suede and the buttons, although close together [full keypad], stick out in an easy to compress manner. The internal antenna is especially nice considering I am one of those, put-it-in-your-pocket-cell-phone-users. The device rarely ever restarted on its own, nor locked up. A great phone all around with a hefty price tag.

To replace the Powershot400, I purchased a Canon SD630. This little bugger really was a nice change of pace. In terms of point and shoot, this little guy is sleek, has a massive LCD screen, and really does quite the job at parties, out n aboot, and for wherever you demand is capturing skills. There is no viewfinder on this beast, which is a negative. The tradeoff is that you get a massive LCD screen where it's very easy to size up pictures, and review post picture. Another overall great product from Canon.

My latest phone is the Palm Centro. In response to Blackberry's awesome cosmetics, Palm came out with this tiny sucker for those who believe, smaller=faster/newer/neater/bestest. I have the black model, so far the device is satisfactory. All of the standards of Palm, with a drastic size reduction cosmetically. The exterior is high shine glossy plastic and is quite slippery. The buttons are so tiny and close together that it makes my fingers sore just thinking about it. None the less, it is quite the deal price-wise and a cost effective alternative to the Treo.
