Hello. Welcome to douggoonDOTcom. All about Doug Goon. This site is pretty worthless, not going to lie. Hopefully you will get at least something from this site and if not, I apologize for wasting valueble time out of your day. To start out, Doug Goon is just
a simple man, with simple needs. Doug Goon is a very eligible and disease free bachelor. Doug Goon has a wonderful family that he is truly greatful for. Last but not least, Doug Goon has friends that he cherishes
for every single detail and flaw that they have which sounds cliche, but in fact is the truth. But enough about Doug Goon, lets talk a bit about me.

4.26.06 -- 12:10 p.m. -- The jist of this next update can be summarized simply by, life is good.
I'll start with two weeks ago, the first real BBQ of the year for the Uniflame. Ladies and Gents words cannot describe how proud I was of her performance. Broken knobs, busted igniter and all [thanks Hammo]...she was in prime operational condition. A slew of meats
including cheesedogs, burgers, and steaks were consumed in large quantities. Fresh strawberries even made it into the main course [thank you sisters Cook].
The first game of Bocce was also initiated however, left unfinished with L. Cookie succesfully flaunting her athletic skills.
That also happened to be Easter weekend. While I didn't get any images of the Goon family Easter, the events are definately noteworthly. One bottle of wine [for me and my mom], nice weather and sitting on grama's front steps,
food [ham, cheesy potatoes, rolls, and fruit salad, lemon pie], egg cracking contest [one person holds one hard boiled egg and another person tries to break it with thier egg, only one egg breaks, and you play for monies] and last but not least,
good old family poker. To say the least, it was a momentous day.
The second week without JB's wisdom and guidance was just as brutal as the first. School winding down and projects that have been procrastinated all year have not helped the situation either. I did however get to give the new car a nice bath and wax, which was nice.
Wednesday's Beer and Pizza was one for the record books. It started with Biggles, Beedub, Mattias and I planning to do three things.
Indulge in Pizza.
Enjoy a tremendous amount of beer, definately to the point of intoxication.
And take the bus to watch the Twins rack up a W.
The first two items on that list certainly were checked off and perhaps even a couple check marks next to the second one. We never made it to the third primarily because Mattias was spittin game like no one had ever seen before. These ladies [2/4 for sure lesbians] came to our table and played drinking games with us
well after it was past the point where you don't play drinking games. After the twins were getting woodsheded 9-4, Beedub and I left for his house. When we arrived we both passed out and the Twins ended up coming back to win making it one of the games NOT to miss for the 06' season.
This last weekend was pretty damn good as well. Friday night it was uncle Roeber's b-day celebration back in the Tonk. I met Jim, Hammo, and Roeb out at the BUffalo Wild Wings in Chanhassen. Ultimately the night can be summed up as a culmination of Beers, another Twins loss, jailbait, Diary Queen and Poker.
On Saturday the weather was astounding. Beedub, Sisters Cook and I went rollerblading on the Mississippi river pathway and it was a helluva way to open up the rollerblading season. I even brought the camera just so I could capture this awe-inspiring event. [PICS]
Saturday night, we hit up Champps for some appetizers and cocktails only before meeting up with Roeber and company at the Southtown lanes. I had not bowled for like four years and by the end of game three, it was evident, I havn't lost a step [almost scored a 150]. I was impressed with everybody, really.
Beedub has the stroke of angel and a release as smooth as a fine scotch on the rocks. L. Cookie continues to impress me with her athletics abilities. Last but not least, e-cooker's crazy wind-up... there are no words.
Sunday morning I was in bed till 1:00 p.m. It was the perfect start to a beautiful Sunday. Especially the company. I headed out to my parents place for a fish fry and a day of family fun. Some brews, some softball/basketball with the little cousins, and hanging out with the Unc, were probably the highlights of the day [next to the fish, of course].
I also went to watch my Mom coach, and my sister play in her first rec. softball game of the year. They were down a couple times but Coach Pam stuck to her guns and ended up making a mockery of the other team. Why call off the dogs when you can salt wounds eh Mom? :)
That pretty much sums up the exciting news in my life. One week left of class. So excited I can barely keep my pants on.
Here is a funny video that made me smile. Hopefully it will make up for the time you wasted reading this site :)
When mom's attack.
5.2.06 -- 2:10 p.m. -- Beedub bought a new car today. I took a ride it in with him and a couple of things to note:
It is a 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX TR
It is an amazing machine with 230 HP and a 0-60 time of 5.8 seconds.
I am jealous
Here are some pics. :)
