5.12.06 -- 1:42 p.m. -- Starting things off with a bang. I am officially done with my 2005-2006 educational session. While I enter into the infamous super-senior stage, one can't help but feel a tiny bit guilty even though the full time job is quite a legitimate excuse.

Speaking of the job, since the last update, JB has returned from his African safari. He collected over 1600 pictures and they can be found here. Thus far, the director search committee meetings have been an interesting experience. Not only do I feel big time, but they even dished me the responsibility of touring the candidate around Athletics Facilities.

Note: I don't really know too much about the athletic facilities, dates created, what all the units REALLY do, and things that a tour guide ultimately should know. That being said, the tour pretty much consisted of, "and over here is Marketing, over here is the Ticket office, here are the bathrooms, and there are the stairs". Weak Doug, weak.

Along with the Tech Services Director developments there is a multitude of losses in the near future for Tech Services student labor. By multitude of loss I really mean total, complete, and all. So if anyone knows any good Tech Serving individuals who they can vouch for, send em' my way. Yestarday, I finally got the job posted on the OHR website so please cross your fingers for us.

What else is new...well I would like to tell you about what I did two weekends ago but I honestly don't remember. So I shall begin with last weekend, Cinco De Mayo. We [em and I] began last friday with a full day of B(eing)FAB(ulous) followed up with our very own Nathaniel Waganaar's graduation get together at Pillsbury hall. Things to note about that:

    1. Both Nate's parents are awesome. Alex is outstanding guy as is his lovely wife. Diane, just as fun and cool as I remember her in my days of mischief and youth.

    2. It was good to see Tess, I hadn't seen her for like eight years.

    3. They had free appetizers and beer/wine. How can one say no?

    4. Dirty even made an appearance, long hair, charming personality, fingerless gloves, and all.

    5. We [and by we I mean cookie and I] took full advantage of #3. I even went as far as to re-use and old cup of red wine with a fresh pour of white, which produced an interesting color. [sorry wine connoisseurs]

So, alas I departed from Nate's gathering a little juiced and ready for some Cinco De Mayo festivities. It started with some QT at the Cook apartment. More wine consumed, sitting on the balcony enjoying the beautiful evening, and touchy/feely time with kitty. The lowpoint of the night was forgetting the cat outside on the balcony for 18+ hours. [Don't worry, she didn't jump off, and to our surprise, the balcony was doodie free in the morning.]

As the night progressed more alcohol was conusumed, more embarassing pictures were taken, and we soon departed to the como house party. Bradley even graced us with his presense during this time of celebration, and it was good to share some quality booze time with him.

When we arrived there weren't too many people there. Dsway, Wagenaar brothers, Cook sisters and pretty much had our own party in the kitchen. Before I knew it, dirt, biggles w/lady, pauly paul, and mattias were there to really shut the shit down. From here on out, things got a little hazy. The pictures will have to suffice for most of the story but this picture really sums up the whole experience:

    Things to note:

    1. I have no idea who that guy is.

    2. Stating I was drunk is an understatement.

    3. I distinctly remember he smelled like B.O.

    4. I don't remember what he was yelling about but it might have something to do with the west side fingies he is sporting.

    5. I look amazing in dirty's size small Micheal Jackson jacket.

Even after all of these oustanding experiences, the best part of the night was still yet to come. [No, it wasn't dsway spanking e.cook as hard as he could, intending for the ass, but landing more in the hamstring region] It was more along the lines of the best steamed food one can consume between the hours of ... wait, scratch that, at any time of the day, any day of the week, White Castle. While we didn't order up the big dogg crave case we did indulge in a 10-pack, onion chips, fish nibblers, chicken rings, and fries. Oustanding is the word I will use.

Saturday was just as eventful as Friday. My dad and I tripped it out to Woodbury for my little 2nd cousin's birthday. After that, we husted it back to my house, picked up my car and sped our way to Savage for my other cousins birthday. There was much father son bonding time throughout the brief road trip to Savage. I got to test the legs on the mazdaspeed and she was cooking at a rough 4K RPM [90mph] for a couple of seconds. We arrived at the party in record time and it was well worth it. Fried Turkey,Ham, Homemade Potato Salad, Green Bean Casserole, Beefy Pickle Dillies, and Hot rolls. If that doesn't make you swoon I don't know what does.

After the b-day bash, I went to E.P. to hang out with Roeber and crew. We went to the park and mix'd it Karl Malone styles followed by some late night grilling, history of violence, and some you know what. The entire weekend was capped off by an extremely relaxing Sunday. I washed up the gramps' GMC Jimmy, Cookmobile, and BW's WRX.. We grilled out some more and ended he night with some Snuffy's malts. Delicious.

So far, this week has been grueling, mostly due to final tests however, at this point in time, I am done. Amazing. Everyone remember to enjoy summer. Thats all you get from me today. Vamanos.
