Hello. Welcome to douggoonDOTcom. All about Doug Goon. This site is pretty worthless, not going to lie. Hopefully you will get at least something from this site and if not, I apologize for wasting valueble time out of your day. To start out, Doug Goon is just
a simple man, with simple needs. Doug Goon was a very eligible and disease free bachelor, and now he is simply disease free. Doug Goon has a wonderful family that he is truly greatful for. Last but not least, Doug Goon has friends that he cherishes
for every single detail and flaw that they have which sounds cliche, but in fact is the truth. But enough about Doug Goon, lets talk a bit about me.

11.13.06 -- 5:02 p.m. -- EmilyC got a new car this weekend. Really, it is a showstopper, no joke. I really
like it a lot as does she. Anywho, it's a 99' silver Saab 9-3. Check out the pics:
This last weekend, got to hang out with Uncle Roeber and company. Hit up the Lions tap for some of the Worlds Best
burgers. For those who are not in the know, I tell no lies. They really are the worlds best. And so you ask, "but it's
just meat on bread, what could be so good about it"? The answer is, I don't know. But once you put one [or three] of
of those heavenly burgers down, you will understand.
Lions Tap.... Just go there
11.06.06 -- 10:12 a.m. -- Welp, just got back home yestarday from a Iowa-family-fun-filled-feista. Three
whole days with the fam and lady, Iowa City styles.
Things started off from St. Diggity,
Uplander mania. Thank god for that beast, DVD screen and all the four hour drive turned out to be T-ball. After
arrival we checked in to the Marriot, unpacked, and left for Iowa City [30 mins away][Iowa City hotels were all full
due to family weekend].
When we arrived at the dorms, many memories began saturate my mind. Flashbacks of D-bags playing barefoot frisbee with
thier hemp necklaces, uncut shaggy hair, shorts falling off, shirtless scrawny bodies,
all around superblock were the most premium. That and the jokers playing ball outside just waiting to be discovered by
the NFL/NBA.
Alicia [Slater Hall] lives on an all girls floor and I pretty much felt like the out of place perv as all the college
co-eds were walking around in towels, getting ready for Friday night, giving me dirty looks like I should not be
there...no me gusta. I also met Corvetta [sis' roomate] for the first time, she was a hoot, and a good sport.
The first night we ate at Bennigan's [my first time eating there] and they have quite an astounding Guinness section.
I guess they cook a bunch of seafood/meats with Guiness and who would have thought? Deliciousness. Family pictionary
ensued after that, with lots of cheatery. It got so bad [the girls got so boozed] that Emily even began mouthing
the answers sans tact. That and squat started chiming in with her "Noooo he/she said it first" garbage. It was
ludacrist to say the least. None the less, Mom and I got served the hard way. holds up the cheat claw
The Culprits
On Saturday we toured the UIowa campus and well lets just say, the U of M can't really hold a candle to the facilities
and overall quality of UIowa campus. I was very impressed. Por ejemplo, the dining facilities have Edy's ice cream
machines with 3+ flavors. UDS? Nuff' said. We ate at the Brown Bottle and that was f'n amazing. If you are ever in
Iowa City, be sure to hit up this small town italianish restaurant.
The second night was 80's trivial pursuit. Brutally difficult. Two hours into it, we threw in the towel, EMC + DG taking
home the gold.
sidenote: Panera bread bowl soups are unbelievably delicious and I highly recommend each and every
one of the millions of dg.com readers try one.
Welp, thats it for now, thanks for tuning in. And lastly, thanks Mom and Dad for your hospitallity, family fun times,
and everything else that made the weekend oh so joyous. Love you guys.
sidenote: pics are up too
10.30.06 -- 11:42 a.m. -- Major slackage, I won't even begin to talk about it. But, it is still new month,
new update, techincally :).
Lets see, over the away time I've attended an amazing twins game, had trips to Eau C [love that D&D], golfing
frequentemente, footballs, summer bar times, dsways bday party, and all hallows eve. With school/work pillaging 80% of my
life, I am rather impressed with the recreational activities I've just listed.
Dsways birthday party was quite a hit. Gabby's [this sleezy bar in north minneapolis] was not a dissapointing showing
to say the least. I was told that I would be 'wanded' upon entrance however, we came just a tad bit too early for them
to consider me packin heat. Next was the free drinks, all you can drink from 9:00-10:30, by god, doesn't get much better
than that.
The clientel is what really made the night. Fine ladies, pushing twotwentyfive maybe twothirty lbs, 35-40yrs
old, clothes two sizes too small, shakin it
like a polaroid and backin' it up like yum. There were of course, a couple of 'those' guys who sit out on the dance
floor lurking... waiting... for the womens to drink just enough, so that they won't notice the wierd guy grinding
from behind. Now you don't have to like em, but you have to respect em. They bring a level of shamelessness that even
I can appreciate.
This years Halloween was ridiculous. I can honestly say, I've only been that intoxicated one other time. It was ugly
and first and foremost, I'd just like to warn my mother and or all the other family members that happen to stumble
across these pictures, my apologies.
The beggining of the night was spent at the Unc and Aunts. They had the nieghboor kids/parents over along with a couple
of outsiders, Bob, Steph, Em and I. All the kids were super cute [best costume was this little babe in a lion costume,
awwww]. The party was hosted out in the garage and it was a little chillly -- sheepsuit plus plus. Emc on the other hand,
didn't stay so warm [thanks for toughing it out miss!].
After the family shindig, we headed back to the cities for some more booze and hotel party. The Marquette hotel had a
very nice party room including pool table, open bar, dance floor, and amazing balcony. The night can best be captured by
a top five list:
5. Hanging out with the Lindsey and Josh, Josh is a good wingman and Ms. Lindsey is super funny/adorable.
4. Heres to another all you can drink ordeal, thank you party hosts [Emily Rockwell much love]
3. Going somewhere where no one knows you. So in the worst case scenario [knocking over some couches, going in the
girls
bathroom, making a complete fool of yourself] at least you won't have to hear about it from your friends.
2. Being hungover all day Sunday, being nothing but worthless the entire day.
1. Going as a couple, couples costume, and winning best costume contest!
Welp, it's been a fun, quick update. Ciao mes amigos!
