Hello. Welcome to douggoonDOTcom. All about Doug Goon. This site is pretty worthless, not going to lie. Hopefully you will get at least something from this site and if not, I apologize for wasting valueble time out of your day. To start out, Doug Goon is just a simple man, with simple needs. Doug Goon was a very eligible and disease free bachelor, and now he is simply disease free. Doug Goon has a wonderful family that he is truly greatful for. Last but not least, Doug Goon has friends that he cherishes for every single detail and flaw that they have which sounds cliche, but in fact is the truth. But enough about Doug Goon, lets talk a bit about me.

7.5.07 -- 10:23 a.m. -- July 4th was a great success. I love hanging out with J&L and or E&E. They are both such amazing couples [compliment each other like none other] and Em and I always have a great time "couple'ing it up". Much love to you four.

Yesterday we batched together some Pickle Philly Dillies and comenced the consumption of alcohol at around noon. I didn't forsee any problems with that at the time however, in the end, that really lengthened our day quite a bit [booze - sleepy - drunk - hot weather - brutal]. None the less, it was a great afternoon. We attended one of the finest parades Chanhassen has ever seen [a one parade kinda town]. Free candy, free cups and judgemental old hags constantly giving us young'ins the evil I-can't-believe-you-are-the-future-of-America eye. Twas as rich/premium as it gets.

After the parade, we went to Michelle's house for some more cocktails and chips. The rain stormed in quickly so we scurried over to Maynards in Excelsior to snag a table. To say the least, Maynards was like a trip down Minnetonka memory lane. The remainder of the evening consisted of more booze, some DP with the two-man-band and their bongos, and little Jack scoring all the young females as he could [I think they were impressed by his John Deer tractor toy, argh argh argh]. You go boy.

Alas, thanks to Emily and Elliot for hosting us. Amamosles.

7.3.07 -- 10:50 p.m. -- Many an event have passed. July of '07 be one of the most exciting months in all of my life. You can quote me on that.

To start things off. I served as a groomsman in Josh's wedding. I finally uploaded the pictures, and last update I forgot, congrats and may life be grand for both of you two. Picture links:

I will be graduating from College. Did I stutter? Say again, I will be graduating from college. The road was long [5+ years is par for the course now days], grueling [not really, give me a challenge] and officially done [this month on the 12th of July]. It will be done, gone, complete, fin, no more, ever, over. With a very useful and desireable degree in Sociology, the world is my oyster. What is the plan now? Continue my day to day dedication to the maroon and gold M by providing the highest quality of technology solutions to valued stakeholders of Intercollegiate Athletics, or something like that...

Last weekend was one of the most memorable weekends of my life. Friday night started with a baseball game at Van Cleve park. Our long lost friend Dougie Swenson won his second [of two, out of twelve] game of the season. I must say, boy did he look good in that baseball uniform, mmmm mmm mm. Following that, Emily and I tripped it to Victoria for a sleepover. An early 4:30 a.m. rise, off to Flying Cloud airport. Coleman Schelitzche came in hot [and 15 minutes late :0 ] at about 6:15 a.m. We were wheels up, at 6:30 a.m., on our way to Spirit of St. Louis. The mode of transportation you ask?

The flight went rather smoothly, much to my surprise. With Don at the reins, the plane ride had a "supersonic" feeling. Coleman's take off and landing were about as smooth as a baby's ass. He could have landed that plane with a case of PBR on the roof of the plane and we all could have had beers after, thats how soft it was. [analogy+++] We borrowed the courtesy car from the Beech Executive company and drove to Lou Fusz automotive. This is what awaited:

This is all you really ought to know:
    - This isn't just another regular WRX

    - Not just five gears, but an extra, just in case you need a lil sum sum

    - 300 hp. Only four cylinders. 0-60 in 4.8 seconds. Stock.

    - 'Nuff said.
Needless to say, it was quite a trip back. I did everything I could to glue my eyes to that speedometer and use/abuse the cruise control. Emily and I also stopped at our first Sonic drive-in. We each had the supersonic burgers and lets just say this, it gives In and Out a run for its money. The drive in itself took about eight and a half hours and thats with an average speed of 85mph+ once we hit I35 N. It was definitely worth the time, money, and wait.

Tomorrow is the 4th of July and theres sure to be more pictures taken. In the meantime, enjoy.

P.S. Thank you Emily, for your magnificent picture taking throughout this momentous event, your patience driving me to and from work [while I was sans car] your understanding for my love of cars and consequently my financially poor decision-making regarding this love, and lastly [more just a general statement of appreciation] thank you for being the best girlfriend a guy could ask for. Te amo.
