Hello. Welcome to douggoonDOTcom. All about Doug Goon. This site is pretty worthless, not going to lie. Hopefully you will get at least something from this site and if not, I apologize for wasting valueble time out of your day. To start out, Doug Goon is just a simple man, with simple needs. Doug Goon was a very eligible and disease free bachelor, and now he is simply disease free. Doug Goon has a wonderful family that he is truly greatful for. Last but not least, Doug Goon has friends that he cherishes for every single detail and flaw that they have which sounds cliche, but in fact is the truth. But enough about Doug Goon, lets talk a bit about me.

12.03.07 -- 9:51 p.m. -- I love the snow. I love my stage two - six speed - 350hp+ - awd - impreza STi [Nadine], I love the christmas lights, I love the tater-tot, spending christmas with my darling Emily, the exhaust smell of my tecumseh four-stroke craftsman blower [argh argh argh], and I love the way the nights are no longer dark [the snow lightens things up 10x]. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Minnesota winter.

So Thanksgiving came and went. This years bird day was a great success primarily due to three factors: food, family, and friends. Grandmas was just as good as grandmas always is, maybe even better. After I complained for a couple of Sundays about the small 12 lb bird, gramps quit playin and went out and snagged an extra three-four pound breast. [you'll see the steam bellow out of the cooker]. Alongside the meat, there was green bean casserole, potahts, rolls, and chocolate turkey candies [tradition]. To top off a great grandparents thanksgiving, Brett Favre and the packers dominated t-day football.

Uncle Bill hosted dessert back at the burbs. It was nice to see the Goon side considering I hadn't seen them in a coon's age. Leftover bird sammiches and all the pie you can eat. Wrapping up the family turkey day celebration, Emily and I decided to visit the Schelitzche residence. The house was warm and cozy with parent's Schelitzche, grama, Pete and wifey [plus their cute new dog Chauncey]. It was Emily's first time meeting Gary and seeing residence del coleman. In the end, she said she wasn't dissapointed one bit.

Thanksgiving number two, was equally fun and very exciting. Emily and I traveled to Arcadia WI to visit grama B. All the Slabys, Steve, Diane, and family cook were there to celebrate. Grama B made superb cheesy mashed potatoes and all kinds of delicious deserts. Following dinner, drinks and Apples to Apples were had/played. Mr. Tater tot was an exceptionally good dog and protected the whole family from Steve's duck calls.

Following Thanksgiving, my birthday approached rather quickly. Although it isn't actually my birthday yet, the celebration is over so it's pretty much over. This years b-day celebration was definately one for the books. Saturday was the first big snowstorm of the year and that was the day we were all planning on heading out to the burbs so Pam and Don could host. This plan was foiled as mother nature reared her ugly snow stick pounding us with 6-8 inches of snow from 10:00 a.m. all the way though the night. Twas quite the showing.

Anyway, back on topic, the birthday celebratory participants were emergency routed to minnehaha ghetto for a good old fashioned, cozy and snug, birthday celebration. Emily and I spent the morning preparing for a full house of family. Pam cooked an amazing lasagna dish of chicken and cheese, with en salad, and rolls .... mmm delicious. Top that off with an amazing rasberry cream cheese cake from Byerlies and you've got yourself a heart healthy day.

Anyway, I got a really sleek/nice tripod, "clubbin" coat, creeper cart, comfy black scarf, meguiars detailing kit, orange sweater, and Bretttt Barrrrrrvvvve jersey #4 wooo woo. All in all, great presents for Doug this year, lucky me.

Lastly, and you may have noticed in the stills from above, Emily and I got our first Christmas Tree this year. And to top it off, I actually decorated the outside of the house, a little. The tree looks really good, and thanks to Menards flower and garden, for not selling us a dud. Emily's ornaments are a great addition to my vintage Hershey's collectibles [she might tell you her ornaments are the showstoppers but really, little bears and moons or rad hersheys guys in cool planes and skiis? cmon.] Really looking forward to a great christmas.

That's all for now folks. This weekend, I'll be heading up north to do some hunting, fishing, typical man activity. Expect a plethera of quality shots. I rarely dissapoint.

10.28.07 -- 10:23 p.m. -- Halloween was immaculate. The Claus' outfits were positively dominant. Other outfits [not as great as or even equal to]:

    - Schaef's Mike Vick homemade t-shirt/jersey along with dogs leashed, and ready to fight.

    - Two guys dressed up as Animal and Hawk from the WWF.

    - This fat guy in a wedding dress [I don't even know]

    - Ghostbusters crew with backpack gun setup and car.

    - Lady as Mrs. Johnson [pregnant] and accompanied by Johnny the milkman.

Other than the most recent, life has been pretty grand. Got some new steel doors installed, new faucents, and the house is in tip top shape. As far as living with my first female, so far so good. It is so nice to come home during the evenings, cook dinner, hang with the dog, watch movies, lounge around, and at the end of the day, have a bed to share/keep warm especially while the weather continues to winterize.

Speaking of the pup, he has been getting along better and better with our little princess pie. Sometimes she even lets him rest his head on her. Here they are in rare form: [click the pic if you want to see obsessive picture taking gone bad]

Welp, don't want to give the readers too much excitement for one day. Thats all for now folks.
