Hello. Welcome to douggoonDOTcom. All about Doug Goon. This site is pretty worthless, not going to lie. Hopefully you will get at least something from this site and if not, I apologize for wasting valueble time out of your day. To start out, Doug Goon is just a simple man, with simple needs. Doug Goon was a very eligible and disease free bachelor, and now he is simply disease free. Doug Goon has a wonderful family that he is truly greatful for. Last but not least, Doug Goon has friends that he cherishes for every single detail and flaw that they have which sounds cliche, but in fact is the truth. But enough about Doug Goon, lets talk a bit about me.

4.15.08 -- 4:54 p.m. -- Yikes, two whole months of slacking, Doug... there is simply no excuse for that.

Seaux, since we last conversed, many a thing have happened. Starting things off an ice fishing trip to Mille Lacs with the boys. I wouldn't say we didn't catch any fish all weekend but, let us just leave it at...there were a 'limited' amount of fish pulled through the ice. This limitation did not extend to snack food and alcohol consumed. Thanks to my healthy grocery shopping, and Mille Lacs liquor hub, the weekend certainly wasn't without good memories. Thank you Aune, Coles, Pump, and Dave for the quality man time.

Went to the 08 Minneapolis Auto Show. Wonderful as always. I think my favorite car had to have been the Porsche Cayenne GTS. They had one in a deep maroon color that literally made a fire in my trouser. See for yourself:

Next, took a family vacation to Kentucky to visit my long lost friends John/JB, Annette, and Ashley. Chris is busy in Japan kickin some major butt diving, and eating foriegn delicoius foods... I missed ya bud. It was a very busy and playful vaction as we did a little late night bowling, horse races, rock band, golfing [driving range] and many muches of alcohol consumption. Thanks a bunch Dad for planning it all out, and for taking the fam on a good old fashion fam vacation.

Somewhere in all of this, Easter came and went. Another traditional Easter at Grandma 'n Grandpa Longs house however, no egg hunt do to Mother Nature's ugly sense of humor [snow in April FTL]. Sigh. There was still a delicious meal along with some good old fashioned egg crackin. This year's champion, Mr. Daniel, who raked in around three bucks if I recall correctly.

Last weekend, another man trip with Pat, Dave, and Markus to Pat's Cabin [30 mins N. of Grand Rapids, MN] for some maple syrupping extravaganza. It was my first time really riding four wheelers and the property had some really awesome trails complete with mud, snow, and deforestation. Gathering the sap was easy however, the ground hadn't quite thawed to optimal condition yet, so the sap wasn't comin quite as quickly as we'd hoped. Boiling the sap takes a good long time, and requires many alcoholic beverages for the waiting period. I shot a muzzle loader for the first time as well. Tis a good thing I was sitting down with shoulder padded otherwise I would have been blown back pretty far. Shot some clays as well... eagle-eye-doug... thats what they call me 'round those parts. Anyway, I want to thank Whickie and Pat for including me in on the fun, I love you guys... even though your farts smell bad.

Well kids, it's been fun.
