Hello. Welcome to douggoonDOTcom. All about Doug Goon. That is me. I am, Doug Goon. Moving on, please induldge yourself in my half assed writing attempts, my subpar website layout, and my novice [moving toward amateur] photography. Feel free to post a question in the ask section, or even just pop in to remind me how unreliable I and terribly infrequent I am updating the site. But seriously, enough about Doug Goon, lets talk a bit about me.

6.24.09 -- 4:08 p.m. Hi. I am here now. Just got back this last weekend from the Dells. Boy, what an awesome, sunburnt, no-sleep, booze-filled fiesta that was. I loved it. Thanks to everyone that came, one of the biggest Dells crews evar!1!11! Top five moments, in my humble opinion:

At Mt. Olympus, Poisidon's rage, a large massive wave dominated Emily and swept her into the drain at the back of the pool. As she tried to get up the suction from the waves kept pulling her back down.

    Paul Bunyans breakfast feast, twice.

The Jellystone pool water slide, the floaty log, and the basketball hoops which, as you may have guess by now, we totally pwned.

    This picture.

Camp awesome and the jimmyrigged tarp-job we done did courtesy of a little home depot PVC and boyscout knots.

The rest of the pics can be found here.

Moving time is getting close. We take the keys mid July and Emily and I have begun the process. Being that I am still the pack rat that my parents didn't raise me to be, I have collected A LOT of junk. Boxing up things is not so much fun, but it does feel good. The one dub oh five house had it's first showing as well. Speaking of house, I have been been doing some extra landscaping this year to ensure that she's in tip top showing shape. Here are some pictures of house floral foliage that I can't really take credit for:

TCF bank stadium is coming along nicely. By "coming along nicely" I mean almost done. I have been over there working on crap for the last two months. The thing is like the MOA of college football stadiums [note: I have only been to the dome and TCFBS so I don't have much for comparison] a.k.a. its massive and one could easily get lost in the maze of tunnels. Here are some before-the-building-opens-shots:

Emily is now, once again, only one year younger than I. To celebrate the birth of the beautiful, amazing, wonderful, woman that I am lucky enough to call my wife, we had my mom and dad over for some burgers and tasty summer treats. My parents gave Emily one of the coolest gifts evar. An extremely nice book with questions about life, and memories. It's sort of like a baby book for adults, except for the timespan of your entire life. I gave Emily a new beach cruiser bicycle. Built with my very own hands [yes, I welded the frame, and painted it pink . . . no I didn't, but I did turn some bolts and tighten some screws]. Fotos de la bicycleta y fiesta de cumpleaņos aqui:

Emily's cousin Adrienne graduated. Hooray for your girl. The party was at a really nice park in Chipp-wah falls. Twas good to see Dale as well as cousins-amazing Jake and Andria. Sooooper fun times. Hot chicas and event pictures:

In closing, I now am up to date in the smart phone world. Two weeks ago, I got myself a Palm Pre [read: the university paid for me to have one]. I love this phone. For those not in the know, check it out here. I think I only need to say one thing here, Pre > iPhone. Mac fanboys, where is your multi-tasking? oh, you don't have it? Do you have a keyboard you can actually feel and confirm clickage? oh, really? Take a seat. Im out.
